He was born in 1907 and grew up wanting to become an astronomer. He served in the Navy and became a champion swordsman. Because of physical problems later he became a writer
He was awarded the " Hugo " four times and the NASA Medal of Distinguished Public Service in 1988. He died in 1988. His Last novel was " To Sail Beyond The Sunset ".


I look forward to seeing motion picture adaptations of more of his novels such as " The Rolling Stones "," Farnham's Freehold ", " The Door Into Summer ", " Assignment Into Eternity ", " The Number Of The Beast ", " The Star Beast " and many others. Also short stories like " The Meanace From Earth ", and " By His Bootstraps ", would be great to watch. " Stranger In A Strange Land " , though contraversal, should become a classic motion picture under proper direction.
